Castelló has activated the machinery to materialise the largest economic injection of European funds in its history in different social, environmental, urban and technological impact projects. That is, 20.2 million euros in the 2018-2022 horizon, co-financed between the City Council and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and within the framework of the Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (ISUDS – EDUSI in its Spanish acronym).
The Ministry of Finance and Public Administration selected the Castelló City Council proposal among other 269 projects presented at the state level in the first call to promote integrated and sustainable urban development strategies.
EDUSI is here to stay. It is here to generate new opportunities embodied in different projects and united by the same objective: transforming Castelló into a living space that can be experienced, felt, walked and toured. Into a city that moves, grows and evolves with its citizens, that is adapted to people and that makes their daily lives easier. Sustainable, without distances, with balance. A more human friendly space.
