Project: To renovate part of the municipal vehicle fleet; to improve, in a comprehensive manner, energy facilities in municipal buildings as well as to rehabilitate them by using the latest technologies; and to implement energy efficiency measures in street lighting.
Budget: 2,496,000 euros
Social Impact: All of these actions move towards a low-carbon economy and promote energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in the city. However, they go beyond and address other, less tangible medium-to long-term objectives and challenges, such as citizen awareness of the depletion natural resources, air pollution and the need to transform Castelló into a greener and more committed city as the first step to improve the quality of life of its citizens.
