Project: To reform and improve the pedestrian access in 17 stops of the Castelló transport system through the installation of versatile and adaptable PVC platforms created to expand the waiting space for bus users.
Budget: 290,012 euros
Social Impact: The new platforms ensure accessibility to the municipal transport system for all citizens (with or without reduced mobility), improve users’ safety and provide a more comfortable waiting time. All of these improvements promote equal rights for all people, contribute to move towards a more inclusive and friendly city and facilitate the Castelló transformation from the mobility and accessibility area. This action helps indirectly to foster public transport, discourage the use of private vehicles and so reduce CO2 emissions.
